It lets you quickly view the different pages of the devices connected to your UPS system without having to search for the devices individually through the devices page. For example, a UPS containing three battery cabinets can be referenced under the UPS page on TMS.
How to set up references to group the UPS with the battery cabinets:
1) Go to the left sidebar > Asset Management > Devices
2) Select the Object Type of either ESS 125VDC, ESS 288VDC, or ESS 480VDC. Depending on which battery cabinet you have.
3) On the list of ESSs, select the one you want the UPS to be referencing.
4) Click the Attributes tab
5) Click Add New Attribute
6) Under Attribute Name, select RemotEye 4 Reference
7) Either search up the name of your RemotEye 4 or click on the list button to the right of the search bar and select it from there.
8) Click Save.
9) Now the battery cabinet should be listed in the References tab of the corresponding RemotEye 4 UPS page.
